• I was debating on this size or the one size smaller. I made the right choice. All though it does take a 40 amp breaker and number 8 wire ( same specs Rheem RTE 13 Electric Tankless Water Heater), which is a fairly good load, the hot water is instant and plentiful. We have a 1 inch incoming line and plenty of pressure, reduced down to 1/2″ within a foot of the heater. The flow through the unit is a lot and with the t-stat turned to full the water is plenty warm. It doesn’t take much of a flow to trip the unit on.We had tried a smaller unit at another location and we had to control the water flow to get substantial ‘warm’ water.

• I put Rheem RTE 9 Electric Tankless Water Heater in a small apartment and was not sure it would do the job. We have a shower, bathroom sink, kitchen sink, washer and dryer. To my surprise it works just great and is only the size of a cigar box. I can run the sink hot water full blast it it keeps up. Have not had more than one demand at a time so not sure how that is going to work. But I can say it is pretty slick.

• This little unit was installed in place of a 30 gallon tank . The 30 amp feed for the original heater was used. The #10 gauge stranded wire is good enough for the power requirements for this unit. My amp probe showed 28 to 32 amps load, whereas stranded wire thhn is good for 35 amps. Have had no over heating and unit will operate fine. Replaced circuit breaker with 40 amp 2-pole unit. Do not do this unless you are sure of your wire and connections, as #8 wire is recommended As this unit is only used for short times the wire size is fine. I am an electrician of over 40 years experience . I know of what I speak.

• Have several of them installed in my motel for about 6 month. It working for shower vanity and kitchen just fine. Never had complaints. No problems so far. Little space. Very convenient. 5 stars. I personally recommend it.

• Using Rheem RTE 9 Electric Tankless Water Heater as a whole house water heater. 2 bath. Not great for a regular bath tub water unless you turn it really low (so cal.) but works wonderfully with restricted shower head. Figure about 40 degree rise in temp on a low flow so if your water is 40 you will get a mild warm shower. Better than cold. I use it with a 50amp breaker #8. Works fine.

• We bought this product so we could take the older model(tfal bf6138 electric kettle 1 liter black) that we already had to our office.This newer model has the different temperature settings that I really didn’t see the need for before purchasing and using it. • I have had this Proctor Silex K4087Y Cordless Electric Kettle for a couple of years and absolutely love it. It boils water much quicker than my gas stove and I can leave it plugged in all day and reheat later. My mom had a stroke last spring and since then has burned several pots after putting them on the stove with water to boil for her tea. And then forgetting about them. I just bought her this pot. She loves being able to fill it in the evening as her hands are stiff and wih less control in the mornings. In the morning she pushes the button down and it quickly boils. If she forgets, it turns itself off. When she remembers again, she just pushes the button on the handle down and it heats up again. Perfect! No more worries about burning the house down.
  One tip: If you have hard water be sure to drain the pot and leave it with the top open to dry out periodically. Otherwise the metal coils inside will become caked with calcium and other sediments. If this happens just soak in vinegar and it comes right off. Wash it out and it is clean as new.

• I fell in love with electric kettles on trips to Europe. I really never ran across them at stores in the US back when I learned about them. • After extensive research and a painfully increasing electric bill I picked this unit. My husband and I installed this ourselves, mostly because the local installers were reluctant to perform the installation. Most houses do not have the electrical capacity to operate this unit. We are VERY happy. We have clean teenagers, 2 and 1/2 have baths, 2 high efficiency clothes washers and a high efficiency dishwasher. We have hotter water than what our previous tank provided. The tank is still in line but off, just in case during winter and for when the large extended family visits. The electric bill is lower. It will probably pay for itself in 6 months.

The iHeat AHSH2500 is a mini electrical tankless water heater. It is called HotSpot. It is small unit that can be installed anywhere where you have the required 110 Volts AC, at least 25 PSI of inlet water flow with temperature above 70 F degrees (21.11 Celsius Deg) and the required plumbing fittings. This shower head water heater brings 1.5 GPM of continuous hot water with only 2.5 kW of electrical power needed.

It is water proof, safe and reliable. Powerful enough to be used on houses, apartments, public showers, shelters, cabins, boats, RVs, and in any place where hot water is needed for a shower. It can be connected to a generator and can be used as a portable unit. It is easy to install with minimal tools and has all of the needed accessories in the box including the wire (If you need to connect this Shower Head to electrical socket or outlet you will need to install an input plug to the provided wire). This unit is a point of use water heater, for showers.

If you need more power or if you are in places where the water is less than 70F Degrees this unit will not bring the expected services and you will require a higher power heater or another water heater used as primary heater that brings the required minimal temperature to the AHSH2500 HotSpot shower head. It plugs directly into an american 110 volt three prong plug. Will barely warm the water if its cold. Will heat it if it is already Luke warm . internal breaker kicks it off before a quick shower is done. I will look for a better one soon. You get what you pay for. It was worth a try though.
